CAR AND FERRY
Boulogne, Calais or Dunkerque to Nanteuil Auriac de Bourzac is approximately 500 miles. The journey can easily be completed in 7 to 8 hours on the motorway. If you catch an early boat you can be at the domain by mid afternoon. The A28 via Rouen and Le Mans, although slightly longer, does cut out Paris.
Other ports include Caen, St Malo, Le Havre and Dieppe in the West and San Sebastian and Biarritz in the South.
Eurostar to Anglouleme provides a good alternative method of transport. Trains from St. Pancras are direct from either Lille or Paris.
The TGV from Paris to Angoulême takes approximately three hours and cars can be hired from directly opposite the station. Driving time is about 40 minutes to the domain from Angoulême.
There are a number of airports within easy reach. Bergerac is the nearest and Bordeaux, Limoges and Poitiers are other options. Cheap flights are abundant if you book well in advance.
Rented cars (Hertz and Europcar) can be driven away from the airport and are generally available but need to be booked in advance. Hertz have special arrangements with Ryanair.
